Nationwide Grassroots Project Will Amend U.S. Constitution to End Corporate Power in Elections

Restore American democracy. Corporations are not people.

Who inspires you? Abolitionists? Suffragists? Union organizers? Civil rights workers? Peace activists? Occupiers? They all have one thing in common. They were ordinary people faced with extraordinary injustice. Then they stood up, walked out of their comfort zones, and into history. They made the world better for all of us. Now we can all join them.

Thanks to our right-wing activist Supreme Court, corporations and billionaires now legally and proudly own our politicians. Our elected representatives no longer have to pretend that they give two hoots about us. Americans’ confidence in our public institutions is at an all-time low. But there is a way to turn things around. There are people already working on it. And we need your help.

  1. Good for you Pat. They are not people with citizenship or the right to vote, will corporations now be voting as corporations, no they will not. This was the most appauling decision I have ever seen in my lifetime. And your article cleary has show what prescedent a ruling like that can carry. We can expect more of the same because One Judge is not bench (Ginsberg) and they are not reporting it for fear Obama will put yet another unqualified in; you have a Jew confined to a Torah that says implies one Jew cannot go against another, who said “lets quash it” regarding the controversy surrounding President Obamas healthcare. She was supposed to be investigated but seeing how Eric Holder is a personal friend of President Obama, that was not to happen they way it should and she is still sitting on our Supreme Court bench confined to a Torah and was never a judge???? The other hasn’t even enough experience as a lower court judge never mind ocupying a seat in the highest Court in the Country. That is why you don’t put people lacking experience in a place that calls for only the utmost judicial experience and keen character. We are doomed and I fear that the only way to bring back our freedoms is to Petition for the removal of our present government to form another. One that bans anyone “sworn” into one office to ever and I mean ever occupy another. What happened here in our country was the collapse of the separation of powers to Lawyers to a misinformed uninformed public who is preoccupied with their houses and cars and cell phone and I pads and facebook? We our selves are in need of overhaul just as much.
